<p>PURPOSE:To achieve reading of a bar code with high accuracy, by deepening the depth of focus without lowering the amount of light of a bar code picture to a read-in sensor. CONSTITUTION:A lighting source 1 illuminates on a bar code and the illuminating light illuminates a bar code 3a printed on a bar code label 3 through a condenser lens 2 of semicylindrical type. The bar code 3a is coded through the width of white and black bars as a contrast pattern. A curved reflecting mirror 4 reflects the reflected light from the bar code 3a to a specific direction, and the reflection light forms the image for scanning on a reading line of a reading sensor 7 through a lens 5 and an aperture member 6 having a flat slit.</p> |
