PURPOSE:To manufacture a cylinder with reduced unit cost and saved labor, by roll-bending a flat plate and welding bent end-surfaces, then cutting it into pieces of short length. CONSTITUTION:Remaining lugs 2 at both sides of a flat plate are cut by a cutter, and the flat plate is bent by a roll and is welded 4 at its both end surfaces A and B. The welded cylinder is cut 5 into pieces of short length, and is manufactured into a short-cut welded cylinder. Thus, the labor is saved and the unit cost is reduced. |
