PURPOSE:To detect the net weight of collected toner accurately all the time by linking a toner recovery cylinder to the reverse surface of a mounting base through a uniform-pressure tube, and keeping upper and lower balance when a toner collection container is empty. CONSTITUTION:The toner discharge opening part 62 of a toner recovery cylinder 6 is inserted into a toner collection container 2 in the center and a skirt 64 is brought into close contact with the outside of the collection container 2; a vacuum pump is driven to introduce residual toner from a transfer drum into the recovery cylinder 6 through a toner recovery tube 61. The introduced toner is charged in the toner collection container 2 while revolving spirally centering on a toner suction tube 63. At this time, the toner collection container 2 is drawn up by negative pressure, but drawn down simultaneously by sucking its reverse surface through the operation of a uniform-pressure tube 9, so that the upper and lower balance of the collection container 2 is kept. Therefore, the mounting base 71 of the toner collection container 2 operates a detection switch by slanting depending upon the amount of toner charged in the container, so the amount of recovered toner is detected accurately. |
