PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of an inverter switching device by detecting the defect of an inverter with a defect detector, and operating a breaker having a tripping circuit and a semiconductor switching circuit, thereby switching to a preliminary power source. CONSTITUTION:The output of an inverter 1 having a thyristor controlled by a gate circuit 2 is connected to a load 6 through a breaker 5, and a preliminary power source 8 which generates a synchronized AC output is connected to the load 6 through a semiconductor switching circuit 9. The defect of the inverter 1 is detected by a defect detector 7 when the inverter 1 is defected, the breaker 5 is opened by a shunt tripping circuit 12 as a tripping circuit, and a semiconductor switching circuit 9 is conducted through a gate circuit 10, thereby switching to the power source 8. Accordingly, the number of parts can be reduced by using the circuit 12, thereby improving the reliability. |
