PURPOSE:To suppress the internal pressure vibration of a rocket motor having a baffle in the internal hole of a solid propellant and heighten the charging efficiency of the propellant, by making the baffle of a solid propellant of low combustion velocity. CONSTITUTION:Solid propellant blocks 3, 3 of inside surface combustion type are charged in the casing 2 of a rocket motor 1. A solid propellant 4 is interposed as a baffle between the blocks 3, 3. The combustion velocity of the propellant 4 is lower than that of the blocks 3, 3. The solid propellant 3 is first by an igniter 5 to start the combustion of the solid propellants 3, 3 and the baffle 4. Since the combustion velocity of the baffle 4 is lower than that of the blocks 3, 3, the baffle burns while it remains protruded into the internal holes of the blocks. For that reason, the solid propellant 4 acts as a baffle, the charging efficiency of the propellant of the rocket motor 1 is heightened and its internal pressure vibration is suppressed. |
