PURPOSE:To make it possible to freely adjust the distance between the type wheel and the platen of an impact printer within a certain fixed range by changing the position of its armature coupled with an eccentric shaft by the rotation of a lever. CONSTITUTION:An armature 6 which drives a hammer 2H by being attracted by a magnet 4 is provided with a hole 6a and the larger diameter part 5a2 of an eccentric shaft 5a pivotally supported by a carriage frame 5 is movably inserted into the hole 6a, and when the position of contact between the hole 6a and the eccentric shaft 5a is changed as the eccentric shaft 5a is caused to rotate by a lever 5e, the armature 6 is pushed. By this movement, a motor 3 is moved forward or backward along long holes 5c, 5d by yokes 4a, 4b which are attracted to the armature 6 and in turn the position of a type wheel 2 in relation to a platen 1 is changed. |
