An auxiliary relay slaved to an integrated circuit comprising three NAND gates permits self checking for correct operation. Two inputs of the first gate are connected to the NAND gate in the drive circuit for the internal relay. The output of the first gate is applied to the second gate (22) with a signal from the input circuits. The output of this gate drives both inputs of the third gate which in turn drives transistors in the relay coil circuit. This circuit is in parallel with the internal relay and its drive transistors. The auxiliary relay contacts are normally open and are connected in series with the control for the different movements to form a self check facility for the circuit.
