<p>The connector is made from a galvanised sheet steel plate (1) in which is punched a group of five rectangular holes (3,4,5,6,7). The rectangular shaped material is split off-centre and folded upwards, during the punching operation to form two protrusions from the plate. The punching tool and die co-operate to produce two spikes of unequal length with a slightly twisted end. Each group of spikes (12,17,22,23) is repeated to form rows. A flat intermediate area (24) is also provided.</p> |
