<p>A cap to fit over the mouth and be covered by an outer cap engaging the container neck exterior comprises a base of thermoplastics with a pour hole closed by a removable plug with a holding tongue and of a different thermoplastics with no chemical affinity with that of the base. The plug is lightly attached to the base by pressing against the base while the base is molten due to heating. The base is pref. of polyethylene and the plug of polypropylene or polystyrene. The plug may be formed on the hole by injection moulding or may be of sheet pressed against the hole during heating to partially melt the sheet. The closure is e.g. for a cosmetics bottle.</p> |
