The adaptor for mounting the valve of an inner tube into an oversize hole in the wheel-rim comprises a tube (1) split longitudinally and which carries a collar (2) about its lower end. The collar is longitudinally spaced from external projections (3) distributed about the tube by a distance which is slightly greater than the thickness of the wheel-rim surrounding the hole. The upper end of the tube carries internally directed projections (5,6) distributed about the inner surface of the tube which hold the valve in place.
