PURPOSE:To make it easier to replace the type wheel of an impact printer within a small rotational space without touching with other parts by moving the type wheel away from the platen through parallel movement and then causing it to rotate. CONSTITUTION:When a type wheel 2 is to be replaced, a lever 10 is caused to rotate counterclockwise around a shaft 11, and by this rotation, a pin 8a protrusively provided on the top end of a motor case 8 moves out a notched part 6d of a carriage frame 6 and simultaneously a shaft 9 horizontally installed on the rear end of the motor case 8 is guided to the rear end part of a long hole in the shape of an arc 6c of the frame 6, and as a result of this, the motor case 8 moves backward horizontally away from a platen 1 and at the same time it stands up by drawing a composite locus circling upward, and guide parts 8b, 8c are held in upright positions being guided by pins 12, 13 respectively. At this time, the type wheel 2 is positioned at the side of an open space and it can be replaced. |
