<p>The tailboard for a lorry etc. comprises a frame with two parallel lateral guides, in each of which a slide works, driven via a rope or chain from a pressure-operated ram. The tailboard hinges on the slides under the action of a drive mechanism between the open and shut positions. The ram has a guide wheel at one end, round which the rope or chain (5) is reeved, one of its ends being attached to the frame (1) and the other to the slide (3). One or both the slides can have an arm (11) protruding under the hinge axis (9) of the tailboard (10), while a pressure-operated closing ram (12) is mounted between the free arm end and the tailboard.</p> |
