PURPOSE:To improve the whole printing speed by running a motor for a prescribed period when a key input is fed, and keeping the revolution of the motor always in steady state when a printing command is inputted. CONSTITUTION:A display device 1 and a keyboard 2 are connected to a CPU4. In addition, a drum type line printer 3 is also connected to the CPU4. The drum type line printer 3 consists of a printing drum, a printer motor rotating the printing drum, a driving circuit for the printing motor, and a hummer driving circuit. A ROM5 and a RAM6 are also connected to the CPU4. The memory area of the RAM includes an area storing a timer counter TC, a rotating detection counter TCNT, a motor ON flag MF, a print flag PF, preset values M and N. Thus, even if keying or a printing command is given just after the completion of printing, the steady rotation of the printer motor is held and the printer 3 starts without waiting for printing operation, improving printing speed. |
