PURPOSE:To achieve an azimuth head with less crosstalk over a wide frequency band, by changing the direction of gaps of a plurality of magnetic heads around the end of the gaps. CONSTITUTION:A pair of azimuth head gaps 11 and 12 are curved as shown in figures. In case of (a), a D produced by a shifted reproducing scanning 4 is almost zero, an azimuth angle theta1 is great. In case of (b), the D is slightly great and an azimuth angle theta2 is a little smaller. In case of the (c), the D is further greater and a theta3 is smaller than the theta2. For various types of the D, that is, shift in reproducing and recording, the angle is taken near the theta1, allowing to effectively increase the azimuth attenuation. Thus, with the constitution of the head gap, the azimuth head with less crosstalk can be achieved over a wide band. |
