PURPOSE:To measure density and flow rate with high accuracy without stagnation of powder with an easily mountable device by mounting a microwave resonator to a transport pipe for powder, and operating the density and flow rate in accordance with the resonance frequency signal in accordance with the passage of the powder. CONSTITUTION:A microwave resonator 3 is mounted to a transport pipe 1 for fine powder, and a frequency measuring circuit 4, a density operating circuit 8, a speed operating circuit 9, etc. are connected to this. When with such constitution fine powder 2 passes through the pipe 1, the dielectric constant of the resonator 3 changes in accordance with density and the change in the resonance frequency thereof is measured with the circuit 4. In the circuit 8, a resonance frequency signal (j) is inputted and the density rho of the powder is operated. In the circuit 9, the periods of the signal (j) changing periodically with the steady waves of the microwaves are analyzed and the velocity V is operated. Both are multiplied in a flow rate operating circuit 10, whereby the flow rate V is determined. Thereby, the density and flow rate are measured with high accuracy with the easily mountable device without stagnation of the powder. |
