PURPOSE:To speed up a page-fault processing, by storing a logical address and a write data temporarily if a page fault takes place at write to a main memory, in a data processor supporting a presumed memory. CONSTITUTION:The user program is executed at job processors 5A and 5B and applied to a bus 3 via cash memories 4A and 4B, and transferred between a file 7 and an input/output processor 8 via a main memory 1 and a file control processor 6. A memory control unit 2 converts a presumed address into a physical address, and if the corresponding physical address is absent, a page fault signal 22 is returned to a processor 5. If the signal 22 takes place at the write to the memory 1, a logical address of a signal 45 and a write data are stored in a storage buffer 38, and the processing of the processor 5 is advanced with a decoder 35 while confirming the number of empty areas more than the required amount. |
