PURPOSE:To detect fine variations in physical quantity and chemical quantity with small-sized economical constitution by converting physical and chemical variations to be measured into phase differences of pulses, and detecting various pieces of information on the basis of those phase differences. CONSTITUTION:Converters 31 and 32 are so arranged in an atmosphere for measurement while having constant position relation meeting requirements of measurement that physical and chemical variations are converted into relative variations in electrostatic capacity of the converters. Further, variable delay circuits 33 and 34 delay respective input pulses by as long as the electrostatic capacities of the converters 31 and 32. Then, a phase defference between their delayed output pulses is detected by a phase discriminating circuit 35 to detect the relative variations in electrostatic capacity of the converters 31 and 32. Thus, the physical and chemical variations are detected. |
