The device for the electric-arc treatment of long workpieces contains a housing (1), in which the electrode, made of at least two parts (3) fastened to the housing (1) in such a way as to be adjustable towards the workpiece (2), is arranged, an arc feed source (5) which is connected to the workpiece (2) and the electrode, and also a magnet system. The device for the electric-arc treatment of long workpieces can mainly be used for the surface cleaning of electrically conductive workpieces, for example wires, which are contaminated by technological grease and the like. <IMAGE>
