The tilting band (5) for gatherable lamellar blinds consists of a large number of sections, connection points for the individual lamellae being arranged on the individual sections (35). In order that the tilting strands (5) do not stretch under the weight of the lamella armour and can be accommodated in narrow lateral guides, the sections are made from dimensionally stable band sections (35) which, to form a loop-like guide (38), are provided in the region of their upper ends on both sides with lateral projections which are bent approximately parallel to the surface of the band section (35). In this case, the upwardly following band section (35) is mounted displaceably in its longitudinal direction in each guide (38). The band sections (35) also have on their lower ends on the side of the guide (38) a hook (39) which enters into a positive connection with the adjacent guide (39). The connection points (36, 37) for the lamellae are arranged on the upper end of the band sections (35) on the band side lying opposite the guide (38). <IMAGE>
