To make color effects on flat ceramics fired in a kiln comprising a preheating area, a firing area and a cooling area, and preferably in a continuous kiln having a firing area without fuel supply, a partially reducing atmosphere is created at the end of the firing area or within the latter. A kiln for implementing such method comprises the three areas: preheating, firing, cooling and in the firing area or at the end of the latter, a protected space is provided wherein are arranged projection nozzles directed on the material to be processed. |
