Control valve for sprayers mounted on agricultural vehicles for treating the soil

A description is given of a control valve for sprayers mounted on agricultural vehicles for treating the soil. The said valve is arranged in a conduit coming from a tank and leading to a spray bar and is provided with a swivelling spindle for the adjustment of the valve element. The control valve is provided with an electric motor which can be reversed in its direction of rotation and is coupled coaxially to the swivelling spindle, the housing of the electric motor being provided on the valve side with a flange extending coaxially to the shaft of the electric motor, being held rotatably by means of the said flange on a base of the valve housing and can be locked on the latter. The advantage of such a control valve is to be regarded as the fact that it can be controlled both by hand and electrically from the cab of a tractor or the like. By virtue of the design according to the invention, the housing of the electric motor simultaneously serves as a handle for the mechanical actuation of the valve element. The control valve is designed in such a way that actuation of a locking pin by means of which the electric motor is fixed relative to the valve housing whilst in operation simultaneously breaks the circuit of the electric motor, so that the motor is always de-energised while being turned mechanically.
