PURPOSE:To perform arithmetic only by addition and subtraction without using multiplication by separating a factor of a converting circuit for picture having a factor with a decimal point into an integer part and a proper fraction part. CONSTITUTION:Registers 21a-21d store values a1-e1 and registers 22a-22d store values a2-e2. Subtraction is repeated by a selector 23, a counter 24, a comparator 25,a subtractor 26, and a counter 27 until a value gamma counted by the counter 27 becomes less than a1, and the subtracted results gamma are sent to a selector 28. The selector 28, a counter 29, a subtractor 30, a comparator 31, and a counter 32 add the numerator a2 accumulatively and the comparator 31 compares the added accumulative value beta with the denominator a1; if beta>=a1, beta-a1 is operated and the contents alpha of the counter is added by +1 and stored accumulatively. Adders 33, 34, a register 35 and an adder 36 find the sum of the accumulative value m of the integer part n and the value stored in the counter 32, and operate number A=aX and also operate numbers B=by, D=dX and E=ey. |
