<p>Flat bottom centrifuge with a pendulum suspension for the sepn. of white sugar and syrup has perforations in the shell near the bottom and near the cover for the outflow of the syrup. The thin-walled shell of uniform wall thickness which is not machined on the inside or outside carries shrunk-on reinforcement rings at a distance of 10-15% of the shell dia. from the bottom and from the cover. This results in much lower mfg. costs than for a bowl with thicker walls near the bottom and the cover which has to be machined out of the solid; it also is a more durable design and has a greater capacity.</p> |
