The invention relates to a fastener consisting of a clamping lever and a clamping yoke for the releasable connection of housing parts. The fastener is intended for points to which access is difficult, e.g. on the underside of a housing provided with a lid and intended to accommodate an air filter insert for motor vehicle internal combustion engines. In order nevertheless to be able to operate the fastener, the clamping lever is arranged at a relatively great distance from the plane of separation of the housing parts, at an easily accessible point on the removable housing part. The clamping yoke, which is articulated on the clamping lever and is neither accessible nor visible, is guided under constraint in its opening and closing movement in a guide holder secured on the lid.
