Occlusion model

In an occlusion model in which positive simulations of the tooth stumps are fixed releasably on a baseplate via pins, a layer of a curing material is applied to that side of the baseplate lying opposite the tooth stumps, the matrix of a snap-in element being embedded in this layer with a catch spring, which cooperates with a catch pin which is fitted in the baseplate. Thus, using cost-effective production parts, a snap connection is provided between the layer and the baseplate, which makes it easier to clamp the model into an articulator and unclamp it, as is necessary for monitoring the rest position or occlusion position.
