MANUFACTURE FOR MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic tape having an axis easy to magnetize toward the broadwise direction and high coercive force, by vapor-depositing a magnetic layer by obliquely tilting a running base film against and evaporation source and further vapor-depositing a magnetic layer by tilting said film by the same angle in the opposite direction. CONSTITUTION:To crucibles 3 and 3', rollers 1 and 1' are located with a tilt bisymmetrically, and magnetic metals 4 and 4' are vapor-deposited while running the base film 2. Thus, a magnetic tape having an easy magnetization axis toward the broadwise direction and high coercive force can be obtained.
