发明名称 Heat sink for cooling spark plugs or ignition chambers of internal-combustion engines
摘要 A heat sink (3) (heat-dissipating body) for installation in the cylinder head (2) of an internal-combustion engine is described, which accommodates either a spark plug or an ignition chamber or an ignition chamber spark plug (14). The heat sink (3) has a heat transmitting device between the cylinder head (2) and the ignition chamber spark plug (14), which heat transmitting device has a thermal conductance whose magnitude varies as a function of the temperature of the heat transmitting device. The change is effected such that the quantity of heat dissipated from the ignition chamber spark plug (14) to the cylinder head (2) is considerably increased above a specific temperature or temperature region. The heat transmitting device can be constructed as a so-called heat tube. When the internal-combustion engine is started, the heat sink (3) makes possible a rapid rise in the temperature of the ignition chamber spark plug (14) up to its operating temperature, which is kept constant within a narrow range. The heat sink remains in the internal-combustion engine during testing and replacement of the ignition chamber spark plug. <IMAGE>
