PURPOSE:To prevent pedometer from miss counting by extending a signal for a specified period from the trailing edge point of a detected signal from a signal detecting part of the pedometer, and finding ''OR'' of the detected signal and the extended signal to count steps. CONSTITUTION:A permanent magnet 14 with the function of dead weight is fixed on the top of a pendulum 1. A plate spring 3' fixed on the one end of a spring fixing pin 9 is arranged so as to push up a spring supporting pin 9', a part of the pendulum, and the pendulum is balanced at static status. When acceleration is applied to the pendulum 1, a lead switch gets near/away to/from the parmanent magnet 14, so that the lead switch is opened/closed and a signal l is detected by a detector 100. The detected signal l includes 2 pulses per signal and a monomultivibrator 201 operates by the trailing edge of the pulse and outputs ''H'' level for a fixed period from the trailing edge point. The ''OR'' (n) between the detected signal l and output (m) from the mono-multivibrator 201 is found by an OR gate 202 and counting is performed in a counter part 300 precisely. |
