<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the vibration of a cathode and prevent the displacement of an electron beam from occurring by bringing dampers, with one end fixed to the wiry cathode and the other end left free, into contact with the cathode at their free end sides. CONSTITUTION:Dampers 37, with one end fixed to a wiry cathode 33 stretched by a spring or the like and the other end left free, are brought into contact with the wiry cathode 33 at their free end sides to prevent the mechanical vibration of the wiry cathode 33 from occurring. Multiple dampers 37 are provided in the longitudinal direction of the wiry cathode 33 at nearly the same angle from different directions across the wiry cathode 33, thereby the direction of the moment generated when the dampers 37 are brought into contact with the wiry cathode 33 is shifted on the center line of an electron beam passing hole provided on a G1 electrode 35. Accordingly, the displacement of an electron beam can be prevented from occurring.</p> |
