PURPOSE:To automatically select a magnification at high accuracy even if the aspect ratio of an original in any size or a normal original is different from the aspect ratio of a transfer sheet by automatically setting each variable power of the length and breadth from the length and breadth of the original and the size of the transfer sheet. CONSTITUTION:In order to count the length in a main scanning direction, an X counter is provided which can count picture elements line by line. By enabling the counter only when an end signal is at 'H', the length is counted to obtain an XCNT. In order to know the position in a subscanning direction, an Y counter is provided which counts lines when a traveling body starts. The reading of the Y counter is held when the end signal comes to 'H', thereby obtaining an YCNT. A CPU controlling the system controls the size of the transfer sheet according to code information and so on. By storing the controlled length and width of the size in a ROM, etc., the CPU can know them. The aspect ratios are obtained from the length, the width, the XCNT and the YCNT, thereby automatically setting the variable power. Thus the magnification can be automatically selected at high accuracy. |
