PURPOSE:To eliminate the thermal influence of a motor and to maintain high accuracy, and to facilitate assembly by inserting a flanged shaft made of an elastic material with the small coefficient of friction into a polygon mirror and the center reference hole of a polygon mirror fitting base to fix the shaft. CONSTITUTION:The polygon mirror 5 is fixed to the polygon mirror fitting base 4 which rotates integrally with the rotary shaft 1a of a motor 1 based on reference surfaces A and C and center reference holes B and D by using the shaft 8 with a flange 7 and a holding member 10. When the polygon mirror rotates at high speed, the motor 1 generates heat the respective constituent members are expanded respectively. When the fitting base 4 is expanded radially, the polygon mirror 5 is held with high accuracy by the elasticity of a dowel 10 made of 'Teflon(R)'. Further, when the shaft 8 with the flange 7 expands, clamping force is maintained by the elasticity of the shaft and the elongation is absorbed. |
