The process is for controlling combustion in which fuel and air are fed to a burner (2) in a boiler (1). The temperature of the combustion gases in the boiler (1) is measured, and dependent upon this measurement the combustion air flow is regulated relatively to the fuel flow. This ensures maximum combustion efficiency, and thereby maximum temperature in the combustion gases. - In the boiler (1) is a burner (2), a fuel supply conduit (3) with a regulator (5), and an air supply line (4), also with a regulator (6). The boiler also has a transmitter (7) and a control (10) which, dependent upon the signals from the transmitter (7) regulates the flow ratio between fuel and air. The transmitter (7) comprises a temperature indicator, and the control (10) can regulate the combustion air feed control (6) so that the boiler combustion gases are maintained at the maximum temperature level.
