PURPOSE:To clean simply scanning area, by providing with cleaning members insertably and slidably in the gap between a scanning area of an electrostatic recording head and an electric charge supporting member. CONSTITUTION:Slider 17 slides back and forth on a sliding shaft 16 by a driving wire 18 which is driven with a motor 14 rotatable in forward and backward directions, and the cleaning members 24 attached to the tip of the slider 17 is inserted into the gap between a scanning area 4a of an optical fiber tube (OFT)4 being the electrostatic recording head and a photosensitive layer 2 of a drum 1, and cleans the scanning area 4a. In this way, the scanning area 4a is simply cleaned without using a complicated mechanism to move OFT4. |
