<p>The present invention is concerned with a method for controlling perrenial weeds and brush which comprises applying thereto a herbicidally effective amount of a herbicidal composition having as active ingredient an L-isomer of a compound of formula (I): wherein, X and Y are same or different and each represents hydrogen atom, a mono- or di-valent metal atom, an ammonium, a mono-di-or trilower alkylammonium, a mono-, di- or tri-ethanolammonium or a mono-, di- or tri-lower alkenylammonium, and, m and n represent valencies of X and Y, respectively or an acid-addition salt thereof. The use of the levorotatory isomer shown more particularly an efficiency for controlling perrenial weeds and brush up to twice than the one of the racemic corresponding compound.</p> |
