PURPOSE:To improve the storage characteristics of an air cell by the use of an air pole processed with the radiation of a microwave. CONSTITUTION:To prepare an air pole 3, granular carbon black having a surface area of about 800m<2>/g is used through the gas absorption method. 2g. of cobalt phthalocyanine as a metal chelate compound is dissolved in 300cc of quinoline. After 10g. of carbon black has been fully soaked in this liquid, the carbon black containing the liquid is dried at 140 deg.C in a decompressed condition to cause the quinoline to evaporate, so that a conjugated body of cobalt phthalocyamine and carbon black is formed. The conjugated body is then treated with discharge plasma having a microwave. An air cell equipped with an air pole that has been irradiated and is capable of reducing oxygen offers excellent storage characteristics. |
