<p>PURPOSE:To improve accuracy of plate thickness by control operation of a rolling mill in accordance with output obtained by calculation from plate thickness deviation detected by a thickness meter and a correcting value for delay of control due to dead time. CONSTITUTION:In a tandem mill consisting of plural, ST1-ST5, stands, a strip SP is rolled in the first stand ST1 and the second stand ST2 from the direction of the arrow, passed through a thickness meter X and led to the third stand ST3 and succeeding stands. The thickness meter X outputs detected plate thickness to an addition arithmetic device A as a deviation signal to target plate thickness given beforehand. In the addition arithmetic device A, output from the thickness meter X and output from dead time arithmetic devices D1, D2 between the stands ST1, ST2 and the thickness meter X are added and outputted to a PID arithmetic device G0 as a plate thickness deviation signal. Further, amount of operation of control of each stand is set by coefficient arithmetic devices G1, G2 and operation signals u1, u2 are outputted.</p> |
