PURPOSE:To provide a numerical controller which detects the synchronization of engagement of a hob and a workpiece by monitoring the revolution speed of the hob or a main shaft and an instructed main shaft data during the engagement. CONSTITUTION:The rotation of a hob 7 coupled to a main shaft 6 is detected by a pulse generator 8 and counted by a main shaft rotational frequency detection circuit 10 for every prescribed period. A data read for the preceding period is subtracted from the counted value to determine the difference to find out the present rotational frequency of the main shaft 6. When a main shaft stationary state storage flip-flop 9 is set for the stationary state, the present rotational frequency of the main shaft 6 found out through the detection circuit 10 and passed through an AND gate 11 is compared by a comparator 12 with a theoretical value determined in consideration of a hob fluctuation ratio put in a main shaft rotational frequency storage circuit 5. According to this constitution, the data of the main shaft 6 and a command therefor can automatically be monitored. |
