PURPOSE:To improve durability, by slidably spline fitting a pinion gear to a ring gear in the end of an output shaft, slidably extending a moving shaft through the center of the output shaft, providing said moving shaft in said pinion gear and performing meshing operation of the pinion gear to the ring gear. CONSTITUTION:A one-way transmission device T, from the rotor shaft 6 of a starter motor M to an output shaft 23, is housed in a transmission housing H, and a pinion gear 33 is coupled to an end part of the output shaft 23 by a spline 34 in a disengageable state to a ring gear 35. Then a moving bar 38, slidably extended through the axial center of the output shaft 23, is connected to the pinion gear 33, at starting operation the moving bar 38 is slided to mesh the pinion gear 33 to the ring gear 35, simultaneously driving power of the motor M is transmitted to the output shaft 23 through the one-way transmission device T. In this way, a starter motor device can be miniaturized to improve its durability. |
