PURPOSE:To increase the loss current of an induction motor by pouring molten material such as aluminum in a laminate of a rotor core by a special method, casting a bar and an end ring, and eliminating the cutting of the outer periphery of the core, thereby increasing the contacting resistance between the cores. CONSTITUTION:Rotor cores 5 formed by punching a thin steel plate of 0.3-1.0mm. thick having a plurality of slots 2 on the outer periphery and slit part 3 connected to the outer periphery are laminated so that the punching directions become constant to form a lamiante 6. Molten aluminum or its alloy is charged from ports 10 formed in number being more than 1/2 of the number of slots at the radial position of the slots 2 in the laminating directin and in the punching direction (designated by an arrow in the drawings) of the core 5, and a bar 8 and an end ring 9 are cast. Futher, the rotor 1 is formed without cutting the outer periphery of the core 5. |
