PURPOSE:To simplify the setting of the initial load of a suspending spring on the basis of a weak rotational force by rolling a cylindrical jig in a gap between a cam and a stopper for moving the cam face against the stopper. CONSTITUTION:A main body 3 of a shock absorber is provided with a compressing stopper 14 and a loosening stopper 15 on the opposite side. A spring 2 transmits load to stoppers 14 and 15 via a cam 12. A gap between the cam 12 and stoppers 14 and 15 is set gradually to be narrowed. For increasing the initial load, a jig 30 with a handle is rolled between the stopper 14 and the cam 12. In this construction, when the jig 30 is rolled in the gap, the cam 12 is rotated, and a convex part A1 instead of a convex part A2 is brought into contact with the stopper 14. A loosening stopper 15 is used for loosening the spring. |
