PURPOSE:To smoothly operate a cam mechanism for a change of rotary speed in a fuel injection timing regulator operating an eccentric cam, by arranging a gap, between guide shafts and the internal periphery of a rotary unit, to not more than a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:There are provided a rotary unit 30, synchronously rotated with a diesel engine, and a shaft 16, coupled to a fuel injection pump. A gap s, between the end part of guide shafts 24 and the internal periphery of the rotary unit 30, is arranged smaller than the movable lifts of a weight 14, when rotary units 4, 30 are mutually fixed at the curved point of injection timing for a lift change of the weight 14. In this way, the gap s is set smaller than the no- sensitive band of a cam mechanism, then the cam mechanism can be smoothly operated for a change of rotary speed from delay to advance or advance to delay angles. |
