PURPOSE:To accelerate the responding speed of a generator by controlling the produced torque of an eddy current brake provided at the shaft of a generator in response to the load of the generator. CONSTITUTION:A generator 2 and an eddy current brake 7 are mounted on the shaft of a water wheel 1. A controller 10 controls the exciting current flowing through the exciting coil 8 of an eddy current brake 7 so that the deviation between the rotating speed of the generator 2 and a reference value becomes zero, thereby controlling the produced torque of the brake 7. In this manner, the responding speed is accelerated, thereby obtaining high accuracy. |
