PURPOSE:To prevent turbulent flame from generating and reduce combustion noise of the burner by a method wherein a peripherally stepped conical flame stabilizer, on the stepped parts of which small holes for combustion air supply are arranged, are provided within an air blast tube so as to cover a fuel injection nozzle. CONSTITUTION:In order to burn, fuel oil is jetted from a nozzle 8 and ignited with an ignition rod 10. At the same time, combustion air is supplied by means of a fan 2 through a draft passage formed between a fan case 3 and a burner base 1 in a blast tube 5. The combustion air is supplied through a straightening vane 14 within the blast tube 5 to the nearly conical flame stabilizer 7 with a plurality of stepped parts over the cone through the small holes 11 provided at the stepped parts 6 and throught the small holes 12 provided at a tapered part 13 of the smaller diametral part of the cone into the interior of the flame stabilizer 7 in order to be burnt. In this case, because flame stabilizings are formed at the respective small holes 11 and 12 so as not to interfere with one another in order to preheat the fuel oil and as well as the combustion air is supplied toward the direction at nearly right angle to the extension of the center axis line of the nozzle 8, the uniform mixture of fuel and air is produced. |
