PURPOSE:To obtain a microcapsule having a dense film and water resistance inexpensively and easily, by polymerizing urea and formaldehyde in the presence of a ligninsulfonate. CONSTITUTION:By using a ligninsulfonate as a system modifier, urea and formaldehyde are polymerized in situ to prepare a microcapsule having a urea- formaldehyde resin film formed around the hydrophobic substance thereof. The resulting microcapsule has a dense film and extremely high water resistance, can be prepared inexpensively and easily, and is not colored when used as a color microcapsule for a pressure-sensitive copy paper. |
