<p>PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption and the influence of temperature variation, by equipping a switch drive type DC-DC converter which has linear duty- output relation to variation in load. CONSTITUTION:This circuit consists of a DC current source 101, a DC-DC converter 1 connected in series to it and constituting a switching regultor, a detecting circuit 2 which detects its output current, and a pulse signal generating circuit 3 which compares its output voltage with a reference voltage and then converts the difference signal into the opening and closing (on/off) time ratio (duty) of the switch of the DC-DC converter. AS an output current flowing through a load 4 increases, the on-time of the switch of the DC-DC converter is shortened and as the output current decreases, reverse operation (having linear relation) is performed, providing constant current characteristics.</p> |
