PURPOSE:To perform initialization irrespective of the recording method, by reading data in either single density mode or double density mode and by changing over the mode when an error exists even after the error retry is performed several times. CONSTITUTION:A main memory 1 is used for storing software instructions. A central processor 2 performs executions of the software instruction of the main memory 1 and processing of interruption requests from input-output units. The central processor 2 is equiped with a firmware to be used for loading initial programs. Input-output controller 3 and 4 control an input-output device. Moreover, the input-output controller 3 is equiped with a firmware for controlling input-output device and a microprocessor. A floppy disk device 6 has a built-in floppy disk controller (LSI for control). |
