PURPOSE:To obtain a decorative material having an extremely rugged foamed pattern and a non-foamed pattern by a method wherein two kinds of resin, foamed and non-foamed and different in decomposition temperature are mixed and the base surface is coatd in the form of a pattern, heated and expanded. CONSTITUTION:Synthetic resin layer 2 containing the 1st foaming agent is provided on the surface of base 1 in the form of a pattern. Synthetic resin layer 3 containing the 2nd foaming agent having a decomposition temperature higher than this foaming agent and the 3rd non-foaming synthetic resin layer 4 having a softening temperature higher than the decomposition temperature of the 1st foaming agent cover the base so that both layers 3, 4 adjoin with each other in the form of a pattern. Then, when they are heated and expanded, the layer 2 covered with the layer 3 is expanded as it is closed by the layer 3, hollow core parts 5 are provided to show remarkable ruggedness. On the other hand, the layer 2 coated with the layer 4 hardly foams or foams slightly. Accordingly, both of them adjoin with each other to provide a decorative material. |
