PURPOSE:To reduce the cost sharply by engaging a head carrier pin with the groove of a power roll by the initial operation of a clutch, disengaging the pin from the groove by the subsequent operation of the clutch, and thereby conducting a series of one-line printing operations. CONSTITUTION:The printer has a rotatable intermittent transmission means provided with a head carrier pin engaging-disengaging operation member 44c having an engaging region 44c1 engaging the head carrier pin 17 with the groove of the power roll 13 and a disengaging region 44c2 disengaging the pin from the groove, and a clutch means formed of a clutch pole or the like and transmitting the rotation of the power roll 13 or the rotation synchronous with the roll to the intermittent transmission means. The intermittent transmission means is provided with at least one of a ribbon feeding operation cam 44b provided corresponding to the disengaging region of the head carrier pin 17 and having an operating region conducting the ribbon feeding and a paper sheet feeding operation member provided corresponding to the disengaging region of the head carrier pin, having the operating region conducting the paper sheet feeding and composed of a paper sheet feeding roller 82, etc. |
