<p>The trailer with retractable implements is used in the agricultural field, using substructure in the form of a longitudinal beam (1) spanning between a tractor coupling (3) and an axle (6) locating the road wheels. Two cantilever arms (8,9) terminate in frames (11) to which the agricultural implements (110) attach, their inboard ends being fixed to the trailing end (5) of the beam by swivel joints. Jacks are used to move the cantilever arms between a deployed position and a retracted position aligned over the beam. A jack (18,19) is also used to raise the beam relative to the axle and into a transit position, the axle being tied back to the beam by a pin-jointed strap (14). Tied posts (26) may form the swivel axes of the arms, being angled to the beam at approx. 110 degrees.</p> |
