<p>The plate has a rigid diaphysary section (1) which is curved towards the front and has a boss (5) formed at its upper end. The boss has an aperture (8) formed in it, inclined at an angle of between 36 and 44 degrees to the axis of the main section. The curved upper plate section (6) extends from the boss via a cambered region (11) and has a pair of holes (13) formed in the top end which is cambered in the opposite direction. The main diaphysary section has an array of holes along its length for receiving bone fixing screws. The axes of these lie perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the plate.</p> |
